Biography

Jesse Lynn Hanley, MD is a wholistic pioneer and sought after educator and speaker on anti-aging, nutrition, longevity and women’s health.  At the age of 32, inspired by her own recovery from chronic illness with natural methods, Dr. Hanley graduated from medical school at the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Simultaneously she studied Oriental Medicine and acupuncture at UCLA Medical School integrating both models with her in-depth nutritional & herbal knowledge.

She is the founder and former Medical Director of the Malibu Health and Rehabilitation Center where she was in private practice for many of her twenty years in practice.  Her book, What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause (Warner Books January 1999), co-authored with John R. Lee, M.D., has sold over a million copies in print around the world.   Her latest book, Tired of Being Tired, on the topic of burnout and simple, powerful solutions was published by Putnam in 2001 and is now being sold in paperback.

Dr. Jesse Hanley has gained national recognition for her outstanding contributions to the advancement of wholistic medicine giving regular radio and television interviews.  She was the health expert on “Wake Up America” a twelve week, three-hour program on KFOX Radio.  She appeared on an NBC special about Doctors as Healers, on “CBS This Morning,” and as the feature speaker on a one-hour CNN special about the National Institutes of Health.   Interviewed and quoted in numerous women’s health books and magazines, she has an international reputation as a medical expert teaching numerous courses to other physicians and the public on topics including nutrition, PMS, healthy menopause, rejuvenation and longevity.  In addition, she  wrote columns for a nationally recognized health newsletter.

Jesse Lynn Hanley, MD has been a delegate to the United Nations International Council-Special Consulate, Caring Community Health & Education & Research Council Advisory Board, as well as lectured at UCLA for physicians only on “Healthy Aging” and has been the medical consultant to Tahitian Noni International for whom she teaches and has been the keynote speaker to standing ovations at their International and Regional Conventions.  She had the honor of speaking at both the California and Texas Governor’s Conference for Women.

Dr. Jesse Hanley’s philosophy and vision as a multidisciplinary practitioner is to accentuate ones empowerment with education, and motivate individuals to use their potential, power and possibilities to achieve optimum wellness for their future.

Today Jesse Lynn Hanley MD lives in Malibu, California and works with patients on a consulting basis only, as well as educating and speaking nationally.
